Doug and Lisa Mitts serve with Greater Europe Mission to see the Kingdom of God flourish through Europe. Doug serves in GEM as a Leader for Spiritual Formation and continues to influence disciple-multipliers. Doug and Lisa have done a variety of things in ministry over the years, but they focus on advancing church planting, developing national leadership, fostering the spiritual formation of Kingdom servants. They are parents of two wonderful children and they enjoy their family immensely. Doug and Lisa live in wonder and gratitude to God for His goodness.
Thank you for stopping by to see us! We have enjoyed serving in Europe since 1991. Lisa has served in Japan, China, Hungary, Romania, Albania, Poland and Germany. She has spent some time teaching in Ukraine as well. Doug has lived and ministered in Poland, Ukraine, Mexico, China, Haiti and Germany. Many more European countries could be added to the list. We currently commute to Europe regularly as we continue fulfill the work Jesus has called us to in seeing that Continent reached for Him.
We married in the U.S. in 1994 and returned to Poland in 1995. Both of our children were born in Poland -- but no, they don’t have dual citizenship. They are now in college and we have moved to Frankfurt.
Our passion in life is our Lord, who reached down and called us to Himself through other faithful servants who shared their faith in Jesus Christ with us. Ever since we have been in pursuit of Him and His designs for our lives.
John 17:3 states, “And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom Thou has sent.” After 46 years of journeying with our Lord, we have experienced Him and His unfathomable goodness (Ps. 34:8).
