AC and GEM-K
We all went to the Czech Republic to the a small town called, Liberec. There Megan went to be with GEM-K (teens) and Michael was with the 10 to12 year olds. Both kids spoke of this event being the highlight of the summer -- yes it even beat out vacation!
This was the first time that whole families could come to GEM’s annual conference. For the first time, Megan and Michael had an opportunity to understand GEM and the many people who serve Christ in Europe. Up until now, they only had exposure to a very small segment of GEM missionaries. There world broadened greatly.
Everyone chuckled at the fact of a Christian conference being held in a hotel called Babylon! Maybe that’s why a lot of GEMers got sick (some 24 hour bug was going around).
Mom and dad soaked up what the speakers had to share, enjoyed many conversations with fellow missionaries, and felt that God’s Spirit impacted and encouraged the hearts of everyone present.
