GEM’s Annual Conference

Immediately after arriving in Poland from Texas, we unpacked and re-packed for a six-hour drive to Dillingen, Germany for GEM’s Annual Conference. In retrospect, we have learned that tight of schedule signals insanity in terms of pace. We did survive, though.
Michael looked forward to being with his GEM-K friends and had a blast at their conference. He’s made a number of friends with youth of other missionary families in GEM. These kids share a common bond in their third-culture experience of the world, so they all had a blast, not just Michael.
Lisa and I had a lot of work to do as we lead others in the mission, so many meetings beyond the main sessions. I am also leading in our effort to integrate aspects of spiritual formation in our organization, so I spent most of the afternoons meeting with what has now become the spiritual life team. Thanks for praying!
