Houston - We’ve Got a Guest!
One of the gifts of grace we received this year was a trip from the Houston Mitts -- at least a family representative, Aunt Robin! We had an unbelievable time with her visiting Ostrów Tumski (during a wedding - its the oldest church in Poland), Kórnik, and downtown Poznan, including the Old Brewery, which is actually a world-class and award-winning shopping mall (it used to be a brewery).
Friday evening was an adventure on the train from Kraków to Poznan -- I won’t go into details, but Robin had a good time and was a tremendous trooper. Sunday allowed us to go to church and then celebrate GEM Poland Birthdays for Megan and Natasha (see the picture at right).
We had a grand time and we hope Aunt Robin (thanks to her company, Royal-Dutch Shell) had a great time getting to know our world over here. We feel privileged to have hosted her.
