Investing in the Future
One of the requests we had when coming Lesvos to assist for three weeks concerned investing in 5 young, motivated, talented interns serving with GEM for either one month or two. Lisa and I had a blast getting to know them, spending some one-on-one time with each, and serving alongside with them.
We also took time twice a week to train them in aspects of spiritual formation and very generally into the paradigm of movement-model disciple-making. Both of these foci are things Lisa and I enjoy doing, but mostly, we enjoyed hearing how God was working in these interns over the summer. We counted it a great privilege to serve them in this way.
