Hearing of God’s Feats
It was a long time in coming as the Latvia team had many obstacles get in the way of creating their plans for the next few years, but it finally happened. I flew there in early December to spend three days with the team. It was simply amazing. The time went by fast and the hearts for God and His work in Latvia simply overwhelmed Doug. He is quite impressed with the quality of people there and where God has them in ministry.
One of the stories I heard simply blew me away. The Bourbeaus had the privilege of seeing 18 youth gave their lives to Christ from April to November of 2009. This number of people coming to Christ, and especially teenagers, is simply unusual. God is truly at work.
As God reminds, please pray for the team in Latvia and their work. They are all focused on seeing disciples multiply into movements. Latvia has many needs, especially in light of their recent severe economic depression. So pray that the GEMers in Latvia connect with the people God is drawing to Himself.
