Repeated Flooding
I was made aware of the flooding in Sandomierz by an email from Zbyszek Drobek, while in Boston for my D Min residency. Zbyszek assisted Adam Byra in starting a church in Sandomierz, while Adam participated in our church planter training. This church has consistently attempted to establish other churches in the towns and cities surrounding Sandomierz, while continuing to be a viable witness locally.
Only last week did I begin to recover from an illness I picked up during my D Min residency, so I contacted Adam this week to see if I could in any way help. The church is already housing a number of displaced families, purchased a pump to help drain the water from the affected areas, and there will be much more to do as the water recedes. Adam was in good spirits and most in his congregation were not directly affected.
The affected area is from the south of Poland near the town Wisła, where the river by that name originates, and moves toward Gdańsk along the Wisła river. If you would like to assist in any way, please let me know via email. I will do what I can to help and make connections.
