Birthdays at a Distance
I was in Latvia. Lisa and Michael were in Poland and Megan was in Boston. We had always celebrated birthdays together in our home and then with our kids’ friends. So as parents, we wondered what would happen on Megan’s birthday. Would she feel special and loved? We wanted to be with her.
Well, as you can see, her friends gave her a wonderful birthday in her dorm! I called her from Riga. Lisa and Michael had a great conversation with her from Poland. We did get to connect.
She’s growing up and we miss celebrating with her.
