Gratitude for Friends

As parents, it is fun when you see your kids being surprised. Megan and Michael have enjoyed making friends at their high school this year and loved engaging in all the activities they could. They didn’t realize that along the way they were making some really good friends — so when the end of school came around, these friends gave them a surprise pool party! And, yes, they were very surprised!
Everyone swam, played games, took pictures, talked, and ate (pizza, burgers and hot dogs — great teen cuisine). The evening made our kids day (and it seemed everyone else had a lot of fun too).
For us, this was a gracious gift because we had longed and prayed that this year would be a good year for our kids, and that they would make some friends and feel accepted. God honored those prayers, and we know you prayed with us. The evening was very special and made a great memory for us all. It also made us aware of how grateful we are for the friends God has woven into not only our kids’s lives, but ours as well. Thanks.
