The Youth of Europe

Taize Prayer Movement, Poznań

During the space between Christmas and the New Year, we hosted 5 youth from Poland and France.  The Polish girls were only here for one night, which surprised us as another family  wanted to host them and the organizers thought we had too many.  We had a great time with all of them and a wonderful opportunity to discover where they were on their spiritual journeys and a chance to share what Jesus Christ has meant to us.

These women were a part of 32,000 youth that descended on Poznań for the sole purpose of prayer.  This year the annual meeting was organized in our Poland home town.  Taize is an ecumenical prayer movement that has its origins in a French town by the same name.  Our desire was to use the occasion to build relationships, to hear from these young people as well as share what Christ has meant to us.  We also used this opportunity to build bridges with other people in our community.

We had the opportunity to see God work up close with some of the individuals as they considered who God is and His love for them.
