Holiday in Berlin

A Short Trip

May brings a series of holidays in Poland that when strategically placed in the week, they almost create a week off from school and work.  So we took advantage of this extended weekend and drove to Berlin.  I had been there for ministry reasons, but Lisa and Michael had not visited.  So off we went.

We had a great time seeing the major points of interest in Berlin -- the Wall, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, a few statues of famous people, the GDR museum and the Pergamon Museum.  It was a fantastic time and a great opportunity just to hang and chat about whatever came to mind with each other.

Probably the highlight for me was seeing the Pergamon Museum that took me back into biblical history by accident.  The artifacts in the museum were mostly from places that are real and a part of Old Testament history (some New Testament too).  So it brought to mind once again, that God continually invades real human history to reveal Himself as He did in Jesus too.

We missed being with Megan, but she was enjoying her own school trip to Barcelona, Spain.
