Taking it to the Streets

Jesus Revolution

It started in October with a call from a friend who attends the Jesus Revolution school in Oslo, Norway.  Megan had been on a summer team with Jesus Revolution, so we were being asked if we could host them in Poznan for the purpose of training the youth in outreach.  Of course we said yes.  Megan had such positive experience in the summer so it made sense.

Preparation for the team, getting the involvement of the evangelical churches in Poznan, and trying to plan for everything when it would be freezing cold was a lot of work and a ton of prayer.  Ania, who coordinated much of the planning shared some amazing stories of how God worked, even right up to the start of the conference.

We did not know what to expect, but it demanded a lot of time out of the GEM Poland team to host the JR group.  They were great folks, young, vivacious, and tremendous hearts for God.  Over the 4 days, 25 youth were trained in evangelism and creative outreach, 14 people trusted Christ for salvation, and a conservative count of 132 reflected the number of conversations with people. To top it off, some very young Christians had the opportunity to lead others to their Savior.
