Celebrating Megan!
Integrating again into Texas has meant a little bit of concern for making Megan’s birthday special. God, as always, is tremendously good. She started out celebrating early in the morning with her family on the day of her birth. Later, as the drill team was taking a break at a local eatery, Lisa surprised her with a chocolate-chip cookie cake that turned into a hit with some real clowns coming around (no kidding, they were there and made the moment even more special).
Saturday meant being with some long-time friends from our last home ministry assignment. These folks are special to Megan and to us, so we celebrated after making a craft at Smashing Times.
Then it was off to Lubbock to speak in Trinity Christian School’s chapel, but we also managed to celebrate Megan’s birthday with students from that school who have been on mission trips to Poznan to work with us.
Summing up, Megan felt the whole weekend was a very special way of celebrating her birthday.
