Family Fun with Friends
As we looked at the schedule for the rest of the year, including the summer, we only had one week where we could take a vacation as a family. So we went to Paris and Disney Land in early April. We had a blast as a number of our friends live there and wanted to hang out. They treated us to a tour of Paris and some tasty Macaroons. Then we went off to Disney for a day of amazement.
I did not realize how much Disney meant to our kids, especially Megan. One of my all-time-great moments occurred when I watched Megan enjoy the Disney parade. Nothing can touch that as I watched her face light up as each character passed by and reminded her of the movies she loves. I watched her jump when Captain Hook blew her a kiss. The parade made my day because of the gift God gave me in sharing Megan’s expience.
We so needed the time as it has been busy and summer looms with activity and different schedules with Megan starting college next fall.
